Owner of Allegro Danceshop

 

As far as about myself…  I grew up in Ohio riding horses, running, and playing tennis.  There was not a dance studio unfortunately in our town, so I did not get to dance.  I attended the University of South Carolina and received an associate degree in Fashion Merchandise and a BA in Advertising and Public Relations.  I’ve lived in Los Angeles and New York City working in the fashion industry from selling clothing, managing stores, researching fabrics, handling the PR for a company as well as traveling to put on fashion shows. I finally then took a break from all the work to raise my three children whom I love dearly. 

 

How the concept of opening a store came to happen... I wanted to work for myself and saw a need in the community for a well stocked danceshop. Before opening the shop I always had to plan when I would take my daughter to a dance apparel store because of traffic, bridges and the time of day. I heard complaints from various parents about this problem. That's what really sparked my imagination to open up a danceshop convenient to everyone! I do love children and spending time with them as well as I am a people person and enjoy talking with people. Allegro Danceshop is a place where I can help dancers, be happy and enjoy every single day of work!
